As I checked in on my travel wish list, Mont-Tremblant stood out as a winter wonderland that embodies the essence of a year-round skiing haven. The famous Mont-Tremblant Ski Resort beckoned me, boasting an impressive 102 trails to conquer and a breathtaking landscape that would leave even the most discerning skier or snowboarder in awe. Although we opted for alternative activities instead of downhill skiing, our time spent in this picturesque Québec setting was nothing short of unforgettable. Sharing the experience with my friend Krystle only added to its magic, as we reveled in each other’s company and created memories that will last a lifetime. In retrospect, I’d be remiss not to emphasize that Mont-Tremblant is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking to tick off their winter bucket list – do yourself a favor and make it a priority sooner rather than later.

Mont-Tremblant, located 130km north-west of Montreal within the Laurentian Mountains in Québec, Canada, stretches across 665 acres (269 hectares). This region is one of the 21 unique regions that make up Québec, which boasts a vast territory spanning from the Gulf of St. Lawrence to Ontario and the Arctic Ocean to the United States.Interestingly, the city’s name originates from the indigenous Algonquin people, who referred to the ‘Mont Tremblant’ mountain as the ‘trembling mountain’. Established in 1939, Mont-Tremblant is the second-oldest ski resort in North America. Despite French being the official language, most locals speak English, making it an ideal destination for international travelers.Mont-Tremblant is renowned for its exceptional skiing opportunities, but it also offers a unique summertime experience. Visitors can enjoy sailing, kayaking, and golfing amidst the picturesque surroundings during warmer months. I had the pleasure of visiting with Krystle during the cold winter months when snow blanketed the area, but I’m eager to return in the summer to witness its distinct beauty.A special thanks goes out to Jean Ladouceur at Rouge Marketing for capturing the stunning outdoor scenery through their lenses.

When it comes to the menu, expect a wide range of tantalizing options, including juicy hamburgers, tender steak, fresh fish, and crispy paninis. Drinks at Axe Lounge Bar at the Fairmont Tremblant

As I stepped into the Axel Lounge Bar, I was immediately struck by the electrifying ambiance. What truly set my experience apart, however, was the exceptional talent of the mixologists. With a keen understanding of their craft, they crafted bespoke cocktails tailored to my unique palate preferences. The addition of their house-made agave syrup added an extra layer of depth and complexity, elevating the drinks to new heights. I was impressed by the remarkable accuracy with which they captured my taste profile, as if I had my own personal cocktail connoisseur at my service.
